(San Jose – Arenal – Monteverde – Manuel Antonio)
Day 1. San Jose, Costa Rica.
Meeting with the guide at the airport, regular transfer, accommodation at the Barceló San José Palacio Hotel or Presidente Hotel (without meal).
Day 2. San Jose – La Fortuna.
After breakfast you will have regular transfer to the Arenal Volcano zone. Then you will visit Tabacon Thermal Spa (best thermal SPA in the country) where you can take hot and soothing bath in the natural environment, watching the Arenal Volcano eruptions in comfort; Dinner at Tabacon. Accommodation at the Los Lagos Hotel or Arenal Manoa Hotel. (Breakfast/Dinner)
Day 3. Cano Negro Natural Reserve.
You will visit Caño Negro Wild Refugee (shared tour). Caño Negro Natural Reserve and Frio River are creating the wet area, which is considered the most rich biological zone in Costa Rica. Here you can learn local and migrating birds, three species of monkeys, iguanas, sloths, caimans and turtles. Lunch is included in this tour. Accommodation in the same hotel (Breakfast/Lunch).
Day 4. Arenal – Monteverde.
Early in the morning you will head out to the famous Monteverde village, which is placed in the zone of the “cloudy forest”. Your path will start at the Arenal Volcano and will end at the Arenal lake, then you will have a boat trip over the lake to the Chiquito river, and again on the car you will reach your hotel El Establo. During this day the best forest tour in Monteverde will be waiting for you: “Hanging bridges”, Hummingbird and butterfly gallery (shared tour). If you will get lucky, you might see a sacred Maya bird. A famous Quetzal, which is close to extinction. Lunch is included in this tour. Accommodation at the El Establo Hotel or Ficus Hotel. (Breakfast/Lunch).
Day 5. Monteverde – Manuel Antonio.
After breakfast you will have regular transfer to the Manuel Antonio zone. Accommodation at the Parador Hotel. (Breakfast).
Day 6. Manuel Antonio National Park.
After breakfast you will visit National Park Manuel Antonio (shared tour), which is placed in the tropical rainforest zone. This park holds ancient trees of the tropical forest, mangroves, and also coral reefs at the coastal beach zone. Almost all of the Costa Rican jungle animal species are living here: 109 species of mammals (badger, three-toed and Linnaeus’s two-toed sloth, cappuccino and howler monkeys, jaguars) and 184 species of birds. Birds that can be found there : toucan, pelican, green kingfisher, sparrow-hawk. Also there is a huge number of insects snakes and lizards. Accommodation at the Parador Hotel. (Breakfast).
Day 7. Manuel Antonio – San Jose.
Before midday you will have spare time. After lunch you will return to San Jose on the regular transfer. Accommodation at the Barceló San José Palacio Hotel or Presidente Hotel. (Breakfast).
Day 8. San Jose – Airport.
After breakfast you will have personal transfer to the international airport according to your flight. (Breakfast).
