Rainwater enters the earth through fissures on the surface and is then heated by magma, located in the core of the Earth. After heating the waters rise to the surface and carry the minerals derived from the Earth’s rocky formations. There are five springs with temperatures between 25 and 50 degrees. Dinner at Tabacon. Transfer and accommodation in the Arenal Volcano zone. (Breakfast/Dinner)
Day 8. Monteverde Cloud Forest.
Early in the morning you will head out to the famous Monteverde village, which is placed in the zone of the “cloudy forest”. Your path will start at the Arenal Volcano and will end at the Arenal lake, then you will have a boat trip over the lake to the Chiquito river, and again on the car you will reach your hotel. (Breakfast).
Day 9. Selvatura Hanging Bridges.
Today the best forest tour of Monteverde will be waiting for you: “Hanging bridges of Selvatura” tour (shared tour), which serve as an example of engineering and constriction art, with the complete following to the safety regulations. Tour includes 8 bridges with the different length: from 62 to 146 m. Length of the whole tour – 3 km. We recommend you to take Canopy Tour – the most exiting and safe adventure. You will have the opportunity to learn the virgin cloud forest from the air. Zip line tour includes 18 platforms place under the tree crowns. Transfer to your hotel (Breakfast).
Day 10. Monteverde – Quepos.
After breakfast you will have regular transfer to the Manuel Antonio zone. Accommodation in the hotel close to the national park. (Breakfast).
Day 11. Manuel Antonio National Park.
After breakfast you will visit National Park Manuel Antonio (shared tour), which is placed in the tropical rainforest zone. This park holds ancient trees of the tropical forest, mangroves, and also coral reefs at the coastal beach zone. Almost all of the Costa Rican jungle animal species are living here: 109 species of mammals (badger, three-toed and Linnaeus’s two-toed sloth, capuchin and howler monkeys, jaguars) and 184 species of birds. Birds that can be found there : toucan, pelican, green kingfisher, sparrow-hawk. Also there is a huge number of insects snakes and lizards. (Breakfast)
Day 12. Quepos – Sierpe.
Checkout after breakfast, shared transfer to the Palmar Sur, placed on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, from where you will swim on the boat on the river Sierpe, the river with the largest mangrove forests in Central America. During this trip you will see crocodiles, snakes, monkeys and a large variety of birds. Sailing through the Sierpe River delta, you will meet two of the most spectacular regions of the country, Drake Bay and the Marenco Biological Reserve. Arrival to the hotel of your choice at the Osa Peninsula. Accommodation. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner).
Day 13. Corcovado National Park.
Today you will have walking tour (shared tour) in the Corcovado National Park, which is considered as the most “biologically intensive place” in the world. There are no other place with the same area, where the bio-diversity would have been bigger. Flora in this place has thousands species of plants, lots of which are living only in the special places, and have already extinct from the other regions, for example: butternut (caryocar costaricense), Bread-nut Tree (brosimum alicastrum). Fauna of the Corcovado is also having rich bio-diversity. Huge populations of macaws, red parrots, peccaries, jaguars and crocodiles are living here. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner).
Day 14. Isla Del Caño.
This day you will have a sightseeing tour (shared) by boat to the Isla Del Caño, the important biological archeological place of Costa Rica. If you will get lucky you might see dolphins, humpback whales and killer whales. The island is circled by coral riffs. Volcanic rocks which are placed underwater, serve as the homes to the corrals, which attract numerous mollusks and infinite amounts of fish. This place is considered as the best place for diving in Costa Rica. Upon the arrival you will be offered snorkeling equipment for swimming in the crystal clear waters of this island. Lunch-picnic, and road back to hotel. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner).
Day 15. San Jose – Airport.
This morning you will return to the closest local airport in Palmar Sur by boat. Flight to San Jose according to the time of your international flight. (Breakfast).
